The office of the gender equality officer
The decentralised gender equality officers are contact persons for the students, trainees and employees of their faculty/organisational unit in all matters relevant to equal opportunities.
They are elected by the female members of their faculty/organizational unit for a two-year term of office.
The central task of the gender equality commissioners is to support the faculty/organizational unit in their efforts to enable all members, irrespective of gender, to pursue individual career paths in scientific and non-scientific fields, to grant them access to resources in studies, teaching, research and administration and to integrate them into the design of internal structures and processes.
